2019 Red Rock Pride Hike

Meet at the Desert Gardens on Red Hills Parkway

Conserve Southwest Utah and Southwest Utah National Conservation Lands Friends (SUNCLF) are hosting an easy-moderate 4-mile round trip hike on the T-bone Trail in honor of the 4th annual celebration of Pride Week in St. George, Utah. Please join us in celebrating and supporting the experience of our LGBTQ community in the outdoors and in conservation. All are welcome! We invite you to learn about and experience the diverse plant and animal life protected inside the Red Cliffs National Conservation Area. This beautiful ecotone (transition zone between the Mojave Desert, Great Basin and Colorado Plateau) is characterized by great species richness and is home to over 20 threatened, endangered and sensitive species including the Mojave Desert Tortoise, Gila Monster, and kit fox.

On this hike, sightings of the threatened Mojave Desert Tortoise are almost guaranteed….
