Public Lands Field Hearing
April 22 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Congress is coming to Washington County this Monday (April 22) for a House Natural Resources Field Hearing at 12pm at the Rock Bowl at Sand Hollow Resort. The agenda will cover the Northern Corridor Highway, water resources on public lands, and more. Please join us to let Congress know that this one-sided hearing does not represent all local voices. We support keeping public lands in public hands.
Wear GREEN to support public lands! Members of the public will not be allowed to testify during the hearing, but your physical presence will be a powerful visual reminder of our support for public lands and fierce opposition to paving over Red Cliffs.
Arrive by 11am, as seating and parking is limited.
The Rock Bowl is an open-air grass amphitheater without shade, and the weather forecast is 90 degrees on Monday. Please come prepared with water, snacks, sunscreen, hat, and chair/blanket.
Don’t get lost! Do NOT follow Google Maps instructions to the Rock Bowl. Instead, navigate to the Grille at Sand Hollow Resort. There is a parking lot just south of the Grille where you can park and then follow the signs to the Rock Bowl (about a quarter-mile walk on a paved path).
