About The Event
May is Bike Month!
A safe network of streets where people of all ages and abilities can comfortably ride their bikes and walk is a key element of sustainable urban development. Nick Gayer, Active Transportation Planner with the Dixie Municipal Planning Organization, will talk about findings from the 2024 Active Transportation Accessibility Study. The study looks at bicycling in Washington County beyond just the existence of bike lanes. Nick Gayer will talk about aspects such as ease of access to services, travel stress, safety, tree cover for shade, and more. He will also share information about current efforts to create safe, convenient conditions for bicycling across Washington County.
