About The Event
Take a walk with us!
Creating sustainable communities is a complex challenge. To be effective advocates for sustainable development, we need to have a deep understanding of our communities’ infrastructure and design. There’s no better way to learn about a place than to simply get outside and walk its streets!
During this event, we will take a 0.9 mile walk together on paved sidewalks to experience a portion of the Green Springs neighborhood together.
Hundreds of homes in Green Springs are located less than ¼ mile from the proposed Northern Corridor Highway. On this walk, we’ll visit the spot where the Northern Corridor would join the existing Washington Parkway and discuss the highway’s impacts to quality of life, community, and open space.
